Ciao, I’m Carmela – a native English and Italian-speaking celebrant for civil ceremonies, civil unions and symbolic ceremonies, based between Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, but thrilled to travel throughout Italy and beyond!

For couples who wish to legally marry or form a same-sex partnership, I interpret civil ceremonies and civil unions and assist with paperwork requirements.

And for couples seeking a unique and entirely personal celebration, I specialise in creating and celebrating one-of-a-kind, bespoke symbolic ceremonies for weddings, vows renewals and all kinds of occasions.

I do not believe in ‘standard’ ceremony scripts… after all, there is no such thing as a standard wedding ceremony! Your wedding ceremony should celebrate you, your lives and your love in the most memorable and meaningful way possible.

And I believe the Italy wedding ceremony experience should be fully collaborative, inspiring, exciting and fun as, together, we create your perfect ceremony celebration!

And for couples with Italian parentage, heritage or guests, or even just a passion for the Italian language, I offer bespoke bilingual English-Italian ceremonies… for an added touch of Italianness!
